Nina is a Detroit native who is passionate about independent filmmaking and amplifying the voice of marginalized storytellers. She is a 2019 graduate of the MFA Film program at Howard University and holds a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Media Studies from Kalamazoo College in Michigan. A filmmaker and storyteller who focuses on the experience of Black women in America, Nina wrote and directed The Problem with Erin, a 10 minute short film that is currently in post-production. She has also worked on other film productions, such as, The D (Detroit), Rosenwald (DC) and 4:53 (Port au Prince, Haiti and Miami).
